Individual
Psychotherapy
Individual Psychotherapy is a form of therapy in which the client is treated by the therapist on a one-on-one basis. This type of therapy creates a unique relationship between the therapist and the client. This relationship allows the client to examine the undesirable factors that negatively affect one's life and interfere with their happiness and relationships. Dr. Costanza's extensive training allows for interventions to be tailored to his client's unique needs without engaging the client in a "one size fits all" approach. Psychotherapy may be short-term or long-term. Dr. Costanza provides a confidential and safe atmosphere which allows the client to establish a productive therapeutic relationship with the therapist so a positive outcome will be achieved.
Marriage/Couple
Therapy
Couples will argue at times, although most relationships are strong enough to endure these heated disagreements. However, when the arguing becomes intense, ongoing and interferes with other aspects of their relationship, it may be helpful to address these issues in therapy. Marriage/Couple therapy helps a couple work together to address both the primary and underlying issues that are straining the relationship. Dr. Costanza helps to facilitate communication between the individuals in order to guide them to identify and arrive at a solution to their issues.
Family Therapy
Family therapy helps to facilitate communication and resolve conflicts between family members. During therapy Dr. Costanza will help family members identify how specific behaviors affect one another and teach them how to work together towards a common goal and to arrive at the solution to issues that are negatively affecting the family unit. Dr. Costanza will help the family to better communicate with each other and will teach the skills to deepen the families connection.
Group Therapy
Group therapy provides an opportunity to discuss your issues with other group members and the therapist. Dr. Costanza guides the session and facilitates support and direction for each group member through direct interventions and the group process. For the last twenty years Dr. Costanza has been running 4-5 groups each week. Group sessions are open ended and limited to 10 participants. Dr. Costanza utilizes the group process to address issues such as depression, anxiety, anger and other problems that negatively interfere with a person's life.
